The moon is just above the dome of the Teapot this morning.

31 May
Magnitude 0.9 Altair is 3 fist-widths above the moon before dawn.

1 Jun
The moon is low in the south at dawn. Sagittarius is 2 fist-widths to the lower right while magnitude 1.3 Fomalhaut is 3½ fist-widths to the lower left. Magnitude 0.9 Altair is 2½ fist-widths to the upper right.

3 Jun
Fomalhaut is 2½ fist-widths below the moon this morning, and bright magnitude -2.3 Jupiter is 3 fist-widths to the moon’s left, moving a little closer the next few days. The moon is at apogee, 63.38 earth-radii away.

4 Jun
The moon is at last quarter at 2213 UT.

5 Jun
Jupiter is less than 1 fist-width to the moon’s lower left before dawn.
